Improve Your Website Search Engine Rankings By Adding a Google Blog


Blogging is a great way to help increase your search engine rankings for your small business or nonprofit website, because when you actively update your blog’s content on a regular basis that improves your ranking in search engines and when you have it point back to your website, you will have more visitors viewing, not only your blog, but your small business or nonprofit website as well. Websites tend to be more static and dependent upon what type of website it is, they usually have less updates than a blog, so creating a blog to go with your new website or even to go with an older website that is not bringing in as much traffic as you would like it to, that provides visitors with interesting and useful information (e.g. tips, instructional, educational, or information, etc.) that are related to the type of business that you have and the products and/or services you sell, will give your small business or nonprofit website the boost that it needs.


Google Blogger has many cool features that are easy to use, once you learn the basics, such as monetizing your Google Blog using Google AdSense. You can do even more customization with the html editor; however, HTML and CSS are not so easy when you are a beginner who has never worked with coding a blog or webpage. It takes time and practice to master; however, you do not need to know the entire HTML/CSS code to work with it. The coding is already there in the prebuilt template and we are here to help you with the more advanced level code modifications, too, if you want to go beyond the basic template designer that comes with Google Blogger.

Once you have created your new blog, you will need to submit it to the Google and Bing search engines. The best way to submit your blog and your website to these search engines is by registering them using Google and Bing’s Webmaster Tools. They are free and easy to use, providing you with information on how many of your blog or website pages are being indexed by search engines, your site’s traffic statistics, any crawler issues that you need to correct, and they also give you information on the number of links that are pointing to your blog or website. All of this information can be utilized to get the most out of your blog or website. You will also need to create a Sitemap for your blog, so you can speed up the process of having it indexed on the search engines.
